As a memorial to the city’s fallen bicyclists, NY has a tradition of placing a ghost bike at the scene of an accident where a
bicyclist has been killed. In the same week I became aware of this, I was unexpectedly asked to shoot photos of one, then two days
later I was hit by a car riding my bike (a very mild accident as far as they go)- long live the ghost bike.
